Day 8 of Korea adventure

The most surreal thing is happening in my life as I am sitting on the front deck of Jeju Star Cruise right now as I’m writing this. It’s day 8 of my trip in Korea and today we are going to Jeju! Woke up at 5am to catch our 7.15am bus from Gwangju to Mokpo. Our host at Oxbloodk in Gwangju has been very kind in guiding us on where/how should we go to Jeju. And everything went very smoothly this morning as we catch our bus. From Mokpo Bus Terminal, we ride taxi to Mokpo Ferry Terminal to Jeju. It only takes 5mins to reach the terminal and it costs 6700won. Good thing Nobi already reserved for our seat on the ferry. So worried if we cant make it as there are only 2 ferries going to Jeju from Mokpo everyday. If we miss the 9am one, we’ll have to get the 6pm ferry. Anyway, we did it!! It costs 30k won each for economy class. Ok will update more soon!

My 2nd Philippines Trip!

15th January 2015 – The day I embarked my journey to the Philippines for the second time. Its been almost a year since my last trip so I kinda deserved this trip right right?! (Plus I missed Laysa so much tho)

Thank god for Pope’s visit to Manila!

It was literally such a spontaneous trip as we had not really plan what we gonna do on those dates. Btw, I took 3.00 am flight on the 15th (GOSH). Went straight to the airport after work. Because I decided to take public transport, it was already around 10 pm by the time I reached KLIA. One thing about me is that I really adore being at the airport, like I have this very deeeeeep affair with KLIA (or any other airport exist in this world). So it really didn’t bother me having to stay there for many hours. 20150115_01564020150115_013344 20150115_021659 20150115_014713 Midnight in KLIA

The perk of taking 3am flight : there were less than 10 people on board!

Chicken Curry with Rice

My flight arrived at NAIA 20 minutes ealier than scheduled time like wow well done MAS HAHA

As soon as I arrived, me and Laysa took a cab and went straight to the bus station. We had breakfast at Jollibee first before we ride a bus to go to Laguna.

Excited to visit Laysa's hometown!

Excited to visit Laysa’s hometown!

The journey took around 2 hours and Laysa slept the whole time (well, almost hahaha) Her ability to sleep peacefully in a moving vehicle is beyond AMAAAZING tho it’s like she got hypnotized by the road everytime. It was around 12 pm and we had lunch specially cooked by Tita Reysie! Fried chicken with rice and some vege. Then, what was supposedly to be an hour nap turned into 3+ hours. If it’s not for Mark (who’s already waiting for us at UPLB) I’d still continue my nap lol

Road trip to UPLB!

Loved the green scenery

Stopped by at this Carabao place to get this super freshly delicious choco milk

We met up with Mark and Bryan in the library and our first event was riding the unique trolley that cruises along railroad as the driver push you from behind (which is kind of surreal). It can get pretty fast depends on the driver’s speed capacity. Passing through IRRI rice fields and Mt. Makilling, the view was soothingly pleasant. It even passes through the awesome hanging bridge!

Houses and stores along the track

20150115_172047-1-1 DSC_0009 It costs like 300 pesos for the ride which was quiet a ridiculous price. Maybe because they could tell I am a foreigner sobs dont I look a lot like a Pinoy already? From UPLB, we had dinner at this cute restaurant (forgot its name) and then Laysa wanted to go karaoke. I was a bit hesitant at first because its been yearssss since my last karaoke moment haha but I had A LOT of fun that night! almost forgot how awesome karaoke is if not because of them.

From LB Square, we got back to Laysa’s home in Santa Cruz and that’s the end of Laguna Immersion Program Day 1 🙂

DAY 2 – Friday 16th January 2015

Woke up at around 8pm and Laysatot and her mama went to get some breakfast. We had bread, cheese (cheese is basically the main theme of every meal served in PH lol), coffee and Carabao yogurt! The plan today was to visit some tourist’s stuff around Laguna. Our first stop is Nagcarlan Underground Cemetery. I didn’t expect the place to be so cool I mean look at the photos below DSC_0044 DSC_0046 DSC_0047 DSC_0051 DSC_0054 DSC_0063 DSC_0066

The graveyard (15 feet below the church) was eeeeeeeerily cold I kinda wanted to stay there forever lol. Then it started raining all of a sudden so we rushed to the car and proceeded to the super charming town of Liliw. This town is mainly famous for its  very own shoes industry. SERIOUSLY THOUGH, this is like heaven for shoes maniacs like my sister. I bought a pair of slippers for just 200 pesos. Mark and Bryan also got a pair of slippers. Meanwhile, me and Laysa grabbed a few Uraros from the woman selling on the street. The taste is actually really felt familiar to my tongue. Then I remember it tasted exactly like cookies that we Muslim always serves during Eid Fitr.

Lunch hour yo

We were gonna eat at the famous Arabela for lunch but it was VERY packed with human, and the most shocking thing was, the cafe ceiling is so low!! which I guess is what makes the place so unique. We checked out the price and holy shit it was expensive. Plus we needed to wait for the tables to be vacated (aint nobody got time for that). We just settled with this humbly small restaurant full with holy decorations.

Mark being all touristy

Then, we continue to strolled around the town and stumbled upon the majestic St. John the Baptist Parish Church. I was amused by how freakin’ huge that place is.

Later that day, we went to Costales Nature Farms located in Majajay. The farm is a nice, totally relaxing place for you green lovers out there. The entry fee is actually pretty expensive but we can enter for free if we order some meals at their cafe. So we hung out at one of the cute huts and ordered some freshly made sandwiches. Laysa and I even shared a Cucumber Juice and damn I felt so healthy the moment it went down my throat lol (but seriously though, I ended up finished it all because Laysa just can’t stand it HAHA

It’s 2015 YO

First day of 2015. and here I am, in my parent’s house. Still working at EHEHE (its been almost 1 year and a half) and still got so little in my bank account. I know this is such a cliche and mostly lame but here’s my 2015 goals!

1) Become stronger and more fit – running at least twice a week + 20 mins workout every morning +30 mins workout every night.

2) Save more money (to spend for experience/travelling thingy) and ABSOLUTELY NOT for buying ridiculous stuff which I’ve been doing a lot in these previous years.

3) TRY TRY AND TRY HARD to be nice to everyone. Especially paying more attention to my parents’ needs.

4) write journal everyday before I sleep (hardest thing ever)

5) TO GET OUT OF MY COMFORT ZONE, comfort job, and start doing anything risky.

Surprisingly, that’s all I wanna do. For this first term of the year, I’ll probably, NO I MUST QUIT MY SOUL-SUCKING JOB and work for something that I love. Also, my confirmed travel plan this year :-

Krabi – February

Korea+Japan – March

Hong Kong + China – July

Dubai – November

Vietnam Trip

EHEH not too long after the Philippines trip, me, Laysa, Rachelle and Mark started our Vietnam journey. The most anticipated trip of all time! It was the first time for me to meet Rachelle and Mark and I gotta say they were the coolest pinoy out of all my pinoy friends HAHA. I actually was having a hard time to convince my parents but at the end, they finally let me go wohoo

Philippines Trip (Part 2)

Here we go again! Day 4 in the Philippines! As usual we woke up as early as possible. Mainly to make up for our sleeping galore yesterday. I was so surprised to see our breakfast all ready on the table outside our room. They prepared for us scramble eggs and rice with tea/coffee. Eating big meal of rice in the morning HAHA SO MALAYSIAN!

1907615_10202663792090036_2134863191_n 1924598_10202663798170188_489292090_nIMG_0876IMG_0877

Then, we put on our swimming suits and ready to check out. There was a tricycle already waiting for us. It can fit all 5 of us haha what a super tricycle!

1959484_10202664005615374_1382589642_n10155965_10202663796770153_731650232_n 1977229_10202663796050135_945037850_n  1979692_10201617655635136_1149165898_n

It cost each of us P500 for 30 mins to spend with whale shark. There’ll be many staff there who are more than happy to help you to get on the boat. Everyone is compulsory to listen to the briefing on the safety rules. Unfortunately none of us got underwater camera (which is a MUST) if you ever went here. Come on, picture with whale shark! Who in the world doesn’t want that! But no worries as you can just rent camera there. The accompanying staff will be taking picture of you. Any pose you want lol. The thing is, you gonna depend on their staff photography skills, which in our case, was pretty sucks. Most of our pictures came out blurry. Thankfully, underwater pictures were quiet okay (facebook uploadable HAHA).

10150533_10202698596960136_1546795430651719083_n P1070849 P1070850 P1070860 P1070888 P1070889 P1070899 P1070902 P1070918 P1070924 P1070938 P1070945 P1070964 PSX_20140806_014111

For those of you who stupidly enough not to learn swimming yet (like me), you can just wear safety jacket (although your pic won’t be as cool as those who can swim around freely). It was like 8 am, the waves were so pretty damn harsh at that time. It was FREAKIN’ unbelievable for me as I’ve never experienced that kind of waves before! I was like omfggggggg what am I doing here is this my last day on earth?!??!??! I was just gonna stay near to our boat, hanging around trying to survive. LIKE OMYGAH THERES NO WAY imma go near that huge creature. At last I just decided to go on. What’s worst can happen right? (LOL) Anyway, the view in the ocean was so unreal. VERY GORGEOUS AMAZING FANTASTICAL fish were swimming around. The water was so crystal clear I just wanna cry as I’m typing this (;_;)

I believed they actually gave us extra time as I felt like we were staying there forever hahaha. Then, we went to Tumalog Falls. What a perfect place to cool down all that whale shark intense sensation that still crippling on our body. It located just a few mins from the Whaleshark Watching. Our tricycle guy had been waiting for us. He stopped at one corner, and we had to ride motorcycle to continue our journey as the road was pretty narrow.

923180_10202663835211114_14408055_n 10171257_10202663846691401_67972070_n 10173555_10202663843771328_1746202687_n 1173772_10202663966694401_861181043_n

As we reached the place, we had to walk around 200 meters to get to the waterfalls. The road was so steep this time. It’s easier to walk with our barefoot. And finally….

WHOAAAH MAN IT WAS TOO EPIC MY BRAIN HAD A HARD TIME TO PROCESS THIS. and did I mention to you, the water was freezingly cold! ❤

10172823_10202663977214664_519430618_n 1014473_10201617671435531_266170841_n 1173772_10202663966694401_861181043_n 10154183_10202663868531947_1512383306_n

We spent around 1 hour there. To our surprise, there was no changing room available there. The ones provided was too small and a lil dirty. So, on our way to back, we dropped by this place. It’s like a small resort and the staff there were kind enough to let us use their toilet for free!

Along the way, we stopped by at this one place where the view was SUPER AWESOME!

Later, we went to the bus station to go back to Cebu City. We went by bus this time coz supahhh cheap ticket! The journey didn’t take too long idk why I felt like it took forever when we headed the reverse way. We were damn hungry by the time we got to Cebu City! We dropped by this one fast food joint but I can’t remember its name (T_T).

Went back to Robinson’s House. We settled our stuff and and headed to Crown Regency Hotel and Tower. Another mind blowing action waiting for us HAHA. Before that, we stopped by money changer coz I was running out of monehh! Shockingly, all the banks are already closed. Thankfully, we found a money change in a shopping mall.

The price for each activities was not cheap though, so we decided to take package that included all activities sebab alang-alang kan..baik main semua terus ;P

Agreement form that’s compulsory to sign before we start any activity (just in case if we die, they won’t have to pay anything)

We took Skywalk, Edge Coaster, and Zipline. The most horrifying one gotta be..(can’t decide). I seriously enjoyed all of them! (Didn’t expect Edge Coaster could be so scary tho). The view from

Breathaking view from 126.55 meters high above the street

Right after we finished everything, perut pun start berkeroncong.

Adventure overload kinda day

And then guess what?! We went to the ultimate famous La Vie Parisienne. Super fancy place. There were thousands of people by the time we arrived there lol The bread dough are prepared in France and then baked at  La Vie Parisienne Cebu.  So you get the real deal French Croissants for as low as 25php a piece. Thats why la so many people meh!!

What I love is they also provide garden-theme table for customers to use. So nice I tell you..

Only thing we were quite dissapointed. Their customer service was shitty as hell. Maybe the waiter just having a bad day but we had to wait a long time to order some drinks and the waiter’s face omygosh ketat giler dah maca tikus nak terberak.

We ordered too much bread apparently lol I was legit almost throw up bcoz croissant overloadddd. At the end, we tapau most of the things for our breakfast. The next day arrived, we got ready to check out.  We left our things in the storage and went out to roam around a few  places in Cebu City.

Thank you Robinson!

Thank you Robinson!

I still can remember the freakin’ hot weather on that day. We spend like the first hours getting lost, hop on hop off the jeepney. We got night flight but since Danielle’s flight was in the afternoon, we went to the airport together.

We saw a group of people having their convocation. What a goddamn hot ceremony with all the sun and traffic!

Some white building in the city

All of above place are located so near to each other. So it’s easy to just walk around and spend like a few hours there. And after all the blood and tears,  we went back to the hotel, picked up our things, and chow chin chow to the airport.

Here it comes, the most ultimate worst time of my life. We were stranded at the airport for a solid 6 hours. with the fucking freezing temperature I swear my brain cell almost ruptured .Our plan was to  checked in and (maybe) put our stuff there and then we gonna take a stroll around the airport area. BUT  BUT BUTT there was no place provided to put our luggage 😦

Laysa had to go through custom again after she got out of the airport to get some air ;D

Laysa had to go through custom again after she got out of the airport to get some air ;D

Thank god Grey the angel ordered some pizza and then we spent the rest of the night literally dying. As soon as we reached Manila, we all got into our own ways. Katie and Grey got picked up by their family. Me and Laysa catch a bus to go back to Makati. and I tell you, it was definitely one hell of a night. We were having a hard time to take a taxi. Like, it almost midnight and there were still a sea of people wandering around. Yet still very stiff competition to get a taxi!!!

The next morning, we met Pauline The Santos Dimafelix omfg is this real life!?!!!?!? It was sunny ass day and I was dragging along my huge luggage to reach Jollibee where we gonna meet Pauline and holy shit why is she so gorgeous ❤

Then all of us went to the airport. I mean how sweet are they..taking me to the airport and Pauline even paid for the taxi fare *SOBS*

You know in part 1 of this post I doubt why the airport voted as the worst airport in the world, only now I realised why!! (lol) At the departure level, only passengers is allowed to go inside the airport. So if you arrive early and do not plan to check in, then you have to wait outside with your whole family (if you bring them) like under the sun with the hard as rock chair.

Then it’s time to say goodbye to Manila ;( After we bye-bye and stuff, I checked in and guess what, all passenger literally have to pay a lil bit of fee (P550). Around RM50. And I cryed haha20140402_115448After everything settled peacefully, I managed to finally boarding the flight.

Philippines Trip! (Part 1)

Soooo I went to Philippines back in March. Been wanting to write about it BUT BUT now only got time meh. Better I do this ASAP before my memories dissapear (magically). (Actually I can barely remember it all but imma try to squeeze my brain as hard as possible just for the sake of you YOU YOU).

After a few months of hinting to my parents about my intention to go to Manila..finally my parents approved it just a week before my scheduled trip (YAY). Just FYI this is my first oversea flight just by myself.  Tbh I felt nervous as HELL as I departed from KL but yet still very excited to meet my pinoy love Laysa Salonga.

20140328_16035720140328_160310 20140328_162046 20140328_212700

Here we goes..28th March 2014 – MH804- 6.05pm, I flew into Manila. My whole family (except Balal , Nas , Aman) sent me over to KLIA. Arrived at around 9.00pm at NAIA 1, I frantically searched for Laysa as soon as I landed, but as usual, without telecommunication, it took around 30mins for us to detect each other. AND  I was the one who found her first lolol

So after we reunited, Laysa quickly tried to find cab for us to get the hell out of the airport. We dropped by Mall of Asia (One of the largest shopping mall in the world!!) to grab something to eat. After strolling around for one BLOODY hour lol JK we ended up with this Philippines traditional food, which I forgot what its name. We found a spot along Manila Bay and relished our food temptation there. Laysa also bought a pack of chicken rice for me (coz she’s such a mama).

20140328_225424 20140328_233138 20140328_232633 20140328_231304

Then, we went straight to Laysa’s place. It was an apartment with 2 rooms. Each room had capacity of 2 people. Laysa got the top bunk and I think we went straight to sleep coz too much tiredness happened while dragging along my friggin huge luggage all over Manila.

The next morning, we woke up around 8am. and mind you, Filipino starts their day like so damn early HAHA because 7 am is almost like noon already?! We took the subway and went to the famous 168 Mall to buy our rashguard and all the swimming tools. and here’s where the most hilarious thing in the world happened, we literally checked out all the rashguard store in the mall and found not even a single one that suits Laysa’s tiny body. After a while,we FINALLY found one, but it’s not even XS size, it’s baby’s size!! LOOKIE HERE!!HAHHAHAHAHHA So happy that it fits nicely to her xD

20140329_111144 20140329_08441720140329_114906 20140329_114809

DADADADAAA we grabbed some snorkeling stuffs, and suddenly it was almost our flight time. Just a warning to you guys, dont ever mess with Manila traffic jams! As it will kill you slowly like you wont even realize it, all of a sudden there you are, lying dead in the road pit. oh back to my story, me and Laysa had not even finished our packing. We rushingly went back to Laysa’s apartment and just snatched whatever we can catch hold of. With all the pouring blood and sweat, we asked the same cab to wait for us while we finished packing, then we straight went to the airport.

The most absurd thing happened when the driver didn’t own any fuggin’ change! which lead to us having to pay them in 3 different currency ( SGD + MYR + PHP).  A few mins after we arrived at NAIA 3, Grey and Kathy called us. They already queued up to check in. Hugs and kisses and all… we flew happily into Cebu!

1972413_10201617680835766_292427814_n 1972482_10201617681355779_1581009140_n20140329_161534 20140329_161843 20140329_162037 20140329_170032

As soon as we arrived in Mactan Airport, we grabbed a cab and went to Robe’s Pension House. Located just around 20 mins from the airport, this place is just PERFECT for us.

We booked a family room (2 double beds, 1 single bed). Once our cab reached the place, the door guy quickly welcomed us and helped us with our luggage. Danielle already checked in and waiting for us. The room was really huge for its price (there were 5 of us and the room cost P1,500 so individually, we paid P300/night).

Also, this place is very accessible to go everywhere in the city. With its very strong wifi and friendly staffs, I highly recommended this place if you ever visited Cebu City!

We rest for a while and then around 7pm, we catch a taxi and went to dinner at this seafood food court. As we got there, restaurants’ owners all shouting, screaming, begging (lol) us to eat at their restaurant. Finally we just chose this one restaurant randomly because our tummy can’t stand it anymore. Ok now..lemme try to remember what we ordered hahah oh ya! I was so surprised when I saw a basket of Ketupat on our table. Apparently, people there often prepares their rice in Ketupat representation! like everyday is Hari Raya for them lol

After that legit fulfilling dinner, we took a cab to Ayala Centre Cebu. To watch MAGGIE IN DIVERGENT ASKJDAKSHASDH WITH MY NIKITA PEEPS AJSDHAHDASHjhSAIur HOW EPIC WAS THAT ?!?!?!?!!??!?!!!!!!!!

Buttttt…there was too much people night. It was a weekend night, what do we expect?!? Then, instead of queuing stupidly, we went to the internet place and just booked straight online. But our Divergent show time still far (midnight), so we just wandered around the mall and not buy anything. We ended up with nothing to do and just sat there near the cinema entrance. When the movie started, I seriously could feel my bloody tears flowing rapidly on my cheek, like omygosssshhhh seeing Maggie in big screen was just an UNREAL experience. Sadly, her scenes only lasted like about 15-20 mins. The moment she came out on the screen, my lungs just ruptured into pieces. I just wanted to scream like heck during that time.  But, because of the lack of Maggie’s scenes, me and my Nikita peeps spent like half of the movie napping </3. ( I heard the second movie gonna features a lot more of her character). I myself can’t even understand what the ending was HAHAHA.

So, we went back to our hotel. It was a little hard to find a taxi as it was already like 2 am at that time. As soon as everyone landed on their bed, the sound of snoring serenaded itself through the night~

The next morning, we woke up so damn early as our van already waiting for us at 7.30pm. Packed out all our stuffs, we checked ourselves out. Robinson’s staffs were so kind they let use leave some of our stuff in their store room (as we gonna go back to Robinson after 2 nights).

The journey from Cebu City to Oslob took around 7 hours++. We spent most of the journey sleeping/napping non-stop I seriously dont know what got into us hahaha. We made a stopover after like one hour to get a breakfast. I still remember how hungry I was at that time like I could swallow one whole cow. (Again, I found people here eat Ketupat rice too!)

Then, we continue back our journey !

Actually, our roadtrip supposed to consist of few stopover where we can chill and take pictures, but because of the sleepiness overload, we could only deal with one stopover. Laysa gone pretty mad at the driver lol I wasn’t sure what’s going on because of all the tagalogness.

We stayed in Oslob New Village Lodge. Their owners are so friendly like genuinely friendly you know! Because our room still not ready yet, they let us stayed in other room for a while. Before that, one of the owner lead us strolling around the area and let us know about the surrounding place. What a warm welcome!

There were a lot of ruins near our lodge. Beautiful gorgeous ruins!!

Then we head back to our room. and we so lucky we got upgraded to the airconditioned room by just adding around some pesos! The room was not really spacious but it’s worth the fuckin’ cheap price! (It worth more than the price really with the super epic customer service + clean room + hot shower).

At night, because of the need of food, we went ventured out and found a small restaurant just walking distance near our place. The food was just basic and so-so tho. After dinner, we bought some snacks and chilled along the bay until midnight. Definitely one of the chillest night in my life lol Later, we went back to our room to get ready for tomorrow’s life changing adventure!

Stay tuned for part 2! 😉
